SIJHL: Iron Rangers pummel North Stars

A heavily out-gunned Thunder Bay North Stars squad went down to defeat Friday night at the hands of the Minnesota Iron Rangers.

A heavily out-gunned Thunder Bay North Stars squad went down to defeat Friday night at the hands of the Minnesota Iron Rangers.

Evan Erickson scored a pair of goals, one shorthanded and one on the power play, to lead the host Iron Rangers to a 5-2 Superior International Junior Hockey League win.

Kenny Turner and Avery Siau scored for Thunder Bay (12-6-0).

Thomas Fazio, A.J. Rupert and Seth Chumley had the other Iron Rangers tallies.

Minnesota (8-6-3) out-shot Thunder Bay 54-28.
