THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League has announced that tonight’s scheduled game between the Fort Frances Lakers and Thunder Bay North Stars at the Fort William Gardens in Thunder Bay has been postponed due to weather.
Snow and icy road conditions west of Thunder Bay have made travel on the highway between the two northwestern Ontario communities treacherous, thus in the interest of safety for all concerned the North Stars – Lakers contest was cancelled following discussions with both clubs and the league office.
The game will be replayed in the 2016-portion of the SIJHL’s regular season schedule with a make-up date to be announced once it has been finalized.
