Dan Smith scored 62 seconds into overtime on Saturday, his second goal of the night, lifting the Fort France Lakers to a 3-2 win over the Thunder Bay North Stars.

Smith and Tyler Stevenson staked the Lakers to a 2-0 lead after one, both goals coming on the power play.

Dan Usiski cut the lead in half at 15:40 of the second, then tied the score with 31 seconds to go in regulation time.

The North Stars fired 50 shots at Fort Frances netminder Tyler Ampe. Guillaume Piche, who took the loss for Thunder Bay, made 26 stops.
