STONEY CREEK, ON — The Sportop Midget AA Queens opened up the in Stoney Creek the 14th Annual Stoney Creek Midget AA Showcase with a 3-0 win over the Anaheim Lady Ducks. Alexis Paddington opened the scoring and Mackenzie Lehto buried a pair of goals while Josee Robinson earned the shutout as not a single Duck puck snuck by her.
In their evening game, the Queens skated to a 2-2 draw with the Kitchener Lady Rangers. Paddington scored for the second straight game while Jamie Ricklefs added a tally as well.
On Saturday, the Midget AA’s meet the Waterloo Ravens at 12:15 p.m. and the Greater Vancouver Comets at 5:55 p.m. Their Sunday opponents are TBA.
