THUNDER BAY – The Sportop midget AA Queens are off to Stoney Creek, Ont., this weekend for their initial tournament of the season as they will take part in the 11th annual Stoney Creek Sabres Showcase.
Game action for Thunder Bay begins Friday morning when they take on the Mississauga Chiefs at 9:10 a.m.
The Kanata Rangers will provide the opposition in the club’s second match-up of the day, which gets underway at 4:15 p.m.
Saturday sees the Queens meeting the Guelph Jr. Gryphons at 8 a.m.
Remaining games for Thunder Bay in the 64-team tourney will be based on their results in round robin play.
