After losing on Friday night for just the third time this season, the Fort William North Stars rebounded nicely on Saturday, blanking the Sioux Lookout Flyers 5-0.

Trevor Gamache had a pair of goals and two assists and Eli Halcrow had a goal and two assists to pace the Stars to the win, their 35th in 2009-10. Kyle Breukelman and Ryan Pearson had Fort William's other goals.

Guillaume Piche made 13 saves to earn the shutout, his second of the season.

In other SIJHL play on Saturday, Chad Liley scored three times to lead the Dryden Ice Dogs to a 7-5 win over the host K&A Wolverines. Drew Childs had a goal and an assist for the Wolverines.

At Fort Frances Tyler Stevenson had a goal and an assist and the hometown Lakers downed the Wisconsin Mustangs 3-1.
