Guillaume Piche made 14 saves and the Stars got goals from Riley Marsh, Rylan Henley, Brendan Burge and Dan Usiski as they stopped a five-game losing streak in its tracks, blanking the visiting Duluth Clydesdales 4-0 Wednesday night at Fort William Gardens.

It also snapped a two-game slide at the hands of the expansion Clydesdales.

Thunder Bay hits the road for games Friday in Dryden and Saturday in Fort Frances. They return home for a four-game homestand beginning next Wednesday against Dryden.

In other SIJHL play, at Sioux Lookout Josh Scott and Henry Gutierrez scored third period goals, leading the Fort Frances Lakers to a 4-2 win over the host Flyers.

Blake Boaz and Matthew Caulfield also tallied for the victors, staking the Lakers to a 2-1 lead after 20 minutes.
