Eddie the Eagle, the biographical sports dramedy that follows the story of Eddie ‘the Eagle’ Edwards, opens tomorrow.
It gave us the idea to check our archives and, just as we suspected, we have a very brief clip of the Eagle jumping at the 1988 Ski Jumping World Cup held in Thunder Bay in December of that year.
While his ability to jump didn’t make him a contender at the event, the Eagle’s fan following led the sports reporter to make small mention of the athlete and show one of his jumps.
