Thibert leaves Wolves

After two seasons, defenceman Mike Thibert has left the Lakehead Thunderwolves to focus on medical school.

After two seasons, defenceman Mike Thibert has left the Lakehead Thunderwolves to focus on medical school.

Hockey coach Joel Scherban confirmed the news during Thursday’s practice, telling his troops to wish Thibert well in his post-hockey life.

The 23-year-old Thibert played 27 OUA games over two seasons with the Wolves, collecting three assists.
