Thunder Bay All-Stars thump Team Atlantic in Regina

The Thunder Bay All-Stars, coming off a 5-1 defeat at the hands of the team from British Columbia, took out their frustrations on Canada’s other coast, scoring 11 times in the first inning on their way to a convincing 17-4 thrashing of Team Atlantic from Sydney, N.S.

The one-sided triumph, sparked by three-RBI performances by John Masters and Nicholas Nigro, evened their record at 1-1 at the Canadian Senior Little League Championship being staged this week in Regina. Nigro, Zak Korchak and Kody Anton each scored three times for the All-Stars, who take on Lethbridge, Alta. on Saturday.

Korchak started and pitched two innings, giving up a hit and two runs, to pick up the win. The victory pulls Ontario into a third-place tie with B.C. in the six-team standings.

Quebec and host Saskatchewan remain undefeated.
