Thunder Bay threw seven pitchers at the Whalley Little League team from B.C., who scored seven runs in the second inning, en route to a 13-6 trouncing.
Brad Thrower was 3-for-4 with an RBI for Thunder Bay (1-1), while Turner Santin went 1-for-3 with one driven in.
Catcher Josh Jwanda had three RBI on two hits for the British Columbia team.
Ontario takes on Team Atlantic, from Sydney, N.S., on Saturday.
