It’s a big day for Thunder Bay’s Nigel Romick.

The 6-foot-5, 240-pound defensive lineman will take part in Saturday’s Canadian Interuniversity Sport East-West game, playing for the East side.

Romick had six sacks in 2012, third most in Atlantic University Sport.

Last fall he was named CIS defensive player of the week for the week ending Sept. 30, recording 3.5 sacks in Saint Mary’s 32-9 win over the St. Francis Xavier X-Men.

The game is scheduled for 1 p.m. at TD Waterhouse Stadium in London, Ont., home of the Western Mustangs.
