Thunderbolts to host 39th annual swim meet

The Thunder Bay Thunderbolts are back in the pool this weekend, playing host to the 39th annual Thunderbolt International Swim Meet at the Canada Games Complex.
The Thunder Bay Thunderbolts are back in the pool this weekend, playing host to the 39th annual Thunderbolt International Swim Meet at the Canada Games Complex.

The event, which will see the Thunderbolts enter 46 swimmers in competition, attracts top teams from around the region, as well as the United States.

The competition begins Friday evening at 5 p.m., the 13 and over age group starting preliminary heats at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday and the 12 and under group on the starting blocks at 1 p.m. Medal competition begins each day at 6 p.m. for the over-13 age group.

The event is open to the public.
