LONDON, Ont. -- The Lakehead Thunderwolves couldn't make a three-goal lead stand up at home on Friday night.

Tomas Soustal scored twice, once in the first and again early in the second to pace the visiting Thunderwolves to a 3-0 lead over the Western Mustangs, but couldn't hold on as their one-time arch-rival finished with four unanswered goals to eke out a 4-3 win.

Sean Montgomery, Kolten Olynek, Kyle Pettit and Anthony Stefano, who scored the winner with 4:52 left in regulation, scored for the Mustangs (8-9-3) who jumped into an eighth-place tie with Waterloo with the road victory at Fort William Gardens.

The Wolves remained in sixth at 10-9-2 in the OUA West.

Lakehead and Western meet again on Saturday night.
