BUFFALO, NY — The Toppers Pizza Midget A Queens made it to the semifinals of the HarbourCenter Cup in Buffalo, New York in the Girls 17U Tier II division but would get eliminated by the #1 ranked team in Ontario, Ancaster Avalanche.
To their credit, the Queens scored the first goal of the tournament against Ancaster who had shutout their only opponents so far. Jocelyn Wojciechowski scored in the first and Jada Leblanc would add a marker in the third in a 4-2 loss.
The Queens look forward to getting another crack at Ancaster down the road "We will meet again at provincials in April!" said Queens Manager Market Sparks.
