Trio score pair apiece for streaking Stars

Brandon Warmington, Cary Brown and Quinn Rempel added singles in the 9-5 triumph over the Iron Range Ironheads, which saw the Stars roar out to a 4-0 lead by the 12:37 mark of the opening period and lead 6-3 after 40 minutes.

Austin Goldsmith, Karl Poss, Saylor Preston, Christopher Andre and Benjamin Brouillard scored the Ironheads goals, pulling the host squad to within one in the first five minutes of the third period, before the Stars reeled off three straight to close the contest.

The two teams hook up again on Tuesday night.
