Ultimate Gymnastics fares well at international meet In Montreal

Six members of Ultimate Gymnastics provincial competitive squad took to the mats at the 2018 International Gymnix Competition.

MONTREAL, QC. -- Six members of Ultimate Gymnastics provincial competitive squad took to the mats at the 2018 International Gymnix Competition in Montreal last week, returning home with some solid results.

Represented by Olivia Arena (Level 6), Christiana Collinns (Level 9), Caroline Di Felice (Level 7), Maya Grunys (Level 7), Tiana Lombardo (Level 8) and Emily Ukrainec (Level 9) the club was pitted against some of the best athletes from all across Canada as well as international clubs from as far away as Jamaica, Mexico and Bermuda.

Lombardo led the way with a 4th place finish on Balance Beam coupled with a 5th place finish on Vault, while holding down 8th place All Around.

Other notable tallies included Arena, who grabbed a 7th place finish on Balance Beam, Di Felice, taking 13th spot on Vault, Grunys, who nabbed 8th place on Vault, Collinns, nailing down an 8th place finish on Balance Beam as well as 9th in the All Around and Ukrainec taking home 10th place on Balance Beam.
