A trip to the nation’s capital this weekend will round out the qualifying season for the six member Ultimate Gymnastics Women’s Artistic Provincial Competitive team.

The squad, comprised of Aimee-Leigh Balec (Level 9), Julie Bica (Level 7), Cassandra Boyer (Level 8), Christiana Collins (Level 9), Katerina Hamar (Level 9) and Emily Ukrainec (Level 8), will appear in their final qualifier on the year, hosted by the Ottawa Gymnastics Centre on February 27th & 28th.

The young ladies continue to fight to earn spots in the Ontario Championships to be held in Mississauga in April.

At last year’s Ontario Championships, both Balec and Bica returned home sporting silver medals around their necks, with Bica capturing Silver for Level 6 Floor, while Balec earned Silver with a near perfect score of 9.95 on the Beam in the Individual Event Finals.

As a club Ultimate Gymnastics amassed over 125 medals from competitions in both Canada and the US last season.
