Untinen top seed headed into Whitewater Invitational match play

An opening-round 72 has earned Robbie Untinen the top seed at the inaugural Whitewater Invitational golf tournament. Untinen and Even DeGrazia topped all entrants on Friday with their even par rounds.

An opening-round 72 has earned Robbie Untinen the top seed at the inaugural Whitewater Invitational golf tournament.

Untinen and Even DeGrazia topped all entrants on Friday with their even par rounds. Untinen will take on Roabert Atatise, who fired an 80 on Day 1, as the tournament shifts to match play. DeGrazia drew 15th seeed Maximilian Vaclav, who also scored 80 on Friday.

No. 3 Barry Caland (73) will play Steve Melnik, while Ryan Pietila (73) takes on Joe Scharf (70). Other matchups include Brett Shewchuk and Aaron Leupen, Jeff Hunter and Albert Drake, Jamie DePiero and Landon Maunula and Even Littlefield taking on Myles Peterson.
Championship flight pairings began teeing off Saturday morning at 11 a.m.
