Frigid temperatures have forced the cancellation of Sunday's final day of racing at the Haywood NorAm Under 23/World Junior Trials.
With the mercury hovering around -24 C at Lappe Nordic Ski Centre, race organizers initially pushed back the start of the junior women's skiathalon until 1 p.m. The race was originally schedued to begin at 11 a.m.
The sport's governing body dictates racing cannot take place if temperatures fall below -20 C.
