Vikings stay perfect in senior hoops

Peter Luft and Nathaniel Murray had eight points apiece for the losing Falcons, who fell to 2-2.

Elsewhere Dylan Coultis scored 17 to lead Superior Collegiate to a 45-39 win over Westgate.

On the junior boys court, Eric Manzini led the Falcons to a 41-32 win over the Vikings, scoring 20 to lead all players. Keenan Postans had 18 for Hammarskjold.

It was a tighter affair between Churchill and St. Patrick, where Tallon Morris scored a dozen points as the Trojans squeaked past the Fighting Saints 41-39. Meanwhile Westgate had little trouble disposing of Superior, Mitchell Jackowski's 14 powering the Tigers to a 64-11 thumping of the Gryphons.

In senior girls volleyball, Churchill swept Dennis Franklin Cromarty 3-0 and La Verendrye edged St. Patrick 2-1, while in junior girls action, it was St. Ignatius knocking off Hammarskjold 2-1 and St. Patrick downed Churchill 3-0.
