Volleyball Trojans stay perfect

The Churchill Trojans improved to 11-0 on Wednesday as senior boys volleyball dominated the high school sports schedule.

The Churchill Trojans improved to 11-0 on Wednesday as senior boys volleyball dominated the high school sports schedule.

The Trojans made easy work of the Westgate Tigers (2-10), sweeping them in three straight, winnings by scores of 25-9, 25-11 and 25-16.

The second-place St. Patrick Saints kept pace with the front-runners, taking St. Ignatius out in three sets, winning 25-19. 25-16 and 25-13.

In the other senior boys contest, Hammarskjold squeaked past La Veerendrye 2-1, losing the first set before winning the final two, the third one by a 25-23 score.

On the junior boys court, Westgate edged Churchill 2-1, St. Ignatius beat St. Patrick 3-0 and Hammarskjold knocked off La Verendrye 2-1.
