The Brennan Wark foursome was sailing along Monday morning in Napanee, looking to wrap up a fourth straight win at the National Junior Men’s Curling Championship.
It was not meant to be.
Yukon’s Thomas Scoffin pulled off a rare four-ended in the 10th to snatch certain victory away from the Thunder Bay rink, dropping them from the ranks of the undefeated.
Wark took a 5-3 lead into the final end, scoring two in the third and stealing a single in the sixth for his two-shot advantage.
Next up for the Northern Ontario team is a Monday afternoon date with unbeaten Alberta (4-0)
