Wark ends slide, in playoff hunt at juniors

After dropping three straight matches at the Canadian Junior Men's Curling Championships, Thunder Bay's Brendan Wark found his way back into the win column.

After dropping three straight matches at the Canadian Junior Men's Curling Championships, Thunder Bay's Brendan Wark found his way back into the win column.

Wark scored a 6-4 win Tuesday afternoon over Saskatchewan's Brady Scharback to improve to 4-3 and keep his playoff hopes alive.

Manitoba, Nova Scotia and Alberta are all tied atop the standings at 6-1, while Yukon (4-2) and Quebec (5-3), are also ahead of Wark and teammates Joel Adams, Kyle Toset and Kristofer Leupen.

Earlier in the day Team Northern Ontario fell 7-3 to Quebec.
