LONDON, Ont. – The Lakehead Thunderwolves women’s basketball team is a perfect three-for-three in 2018.
Guard Jerika Baldin led the way on Friday night, pumping in 21 points to power the Wolves (9-4) to a 73-54 win over the host Western Mustangs.
Baldin was 4-for-6 from beyond the arc, dished out five assists and added a pair of steals for LU, wo maintained a share of second place in the OUA West with the victory.
Leashja Grant, coming off a 41-point performance, was held to just 13 points, but completed her 13th straight double-double, grabbing 11 rebounds.
Starters Bridget O’Reilly and Lily Gruber-Schulz also hit double digits, scoring 11 and 10 points respectively.
Laura Graham topped the Mustangs with 12 points.
Western only managed two points from its bench, the team’s other four starters all finishing with 1 points apiece.
Lakehead led by 12 after one and 16 at the half, outscoring the Mustangs (7-6) in all four
