They didn’t look a bit rusty on Saturday night in their second-half debut, downing the host Algoma Thunderbirds 66-45 on the strength of Bridget O’Reilly’s 17-point performance.

Forward Katelyn Andrea scored 14 and added 11 boards for the double-double, while guard Jerika Baldin continued her generous ways, dishing out 11 assists in the victory.

Thunder Bay’s Karissa Kajorinne topped the Thunderbirds, who led 19-17 after one quarter, with 13 points.

Last place Lakehead (4-5) hosts McMaster (8-3) next weekend at the C.J. Sanders Fieldhouse on Friday and Saturday night. Tip off is 6 p.m.
