TORONTO – The suddenly cold Lakehead Thunderwolves will end 2017 having lost three of their last four games.

The OUA women’s basketball team dropped its second straight on Saturday night, blown out in a 22-9 first quarter that set the stage for an 81-62 drubbing at the hands of the host Ryerson Rams.

Bridget O’Reilly was one of the few bright spots for the Thunderwolves, hitting six three-pointers en route to a 22-point performance in the lopsided defeat.

Leashja Grant continued her double-double run, but barely.

Grant, who leads the league in both scoring and rebounds, was held to just 11 points against the Rams, grabbing 10 rebounds.

It was the 10th straight game she hit the milestone.

Tiffany Reynolds, Lily Gruber-Schulz and Jerika Baldin each had eight points in a losing cause.

Sofia Paska led the Rams with 23 points, while Jama Bin-Edward had 21.
