Whitley earns player of week honours

For the third time this season former Lakehead Thunderwolves goaltender Chris Whitley has been named the Central Hockey League player of the week. Whitley, a rookie with the Allen Americans, won three times in three starts, posting a 1.

For the third time this season former Lakehead Thunderwolves goaltender Chris Whitley has been named the Central Hockey League player of the week.

 

Whitley, a rookie with the Allen Americans, won three times in three starts, posting a 1.40 goals against average and a .954 save percentage during the week ending Jan. 24.  

 

The 26-year-old leads the league in wins and boasts a 19-7-2 record with a 2.67 goals against average and one shutout.

 

The Americans are an affiliate of the Dallas Stars.
