Lakehead’s Jylisa Williams will take the court Saturday for the first time since a concussion knocked her out of the OUA playoffs.
Williams rewrote he OUA record book in her second and final season with the Thunderwolves, scoring 548 points to stet a new standard. She also scored 50 points against the Toronto Varsity Blues to set a new single-game mark.
The Atlanta native led the nation in scoring, pouring in an average of 28.8 points a night. She was a unanimous choice as the OUA player-of-the-year and was also named CIS player-of-the-year.
Williams was the lone Lakehead player named to the game. She’ll play for a team coached by Windsor’s Chantal Vallee.
