TORONTO – The Lakehead Thunderwolves might want to ask Santa Claus for a win or two for Christmas.

All they got was a lump of 0-10 coal in the pre-holiday portion of their OUA men’s basketball schedule, which mercifully came to a close on Saturday night, a 98-52 lambasting at the hands of the No. 10 Ryerson Rams.

The Wolves scored just 23 first-half points and closed out with a seven-point fourth against the powerful Rams, who improved to 8-2 as they hit the Christmas break.

Mor Menashe topped all LU scorers with 13 pints, Nick Burke and Quincy Johnson each collecting 10 points apiece.

Manny Diressa had a game-high 25 for Ryerson, Jean-Victor Mukama also topping 20 points with 21 to go with nine rebounds.

Lakehead will host Guelph on Jan. 5.
