A weekend split at home against York hasn’t hurt the Lakehead Thunderwolves hockey team in the eyes of the media who vote for the top 10 teams in the nation each week.

The Wolves (3-1-0) are ranked 10th for the second straight week in the CIS poll, a ranking that saw last year’s national champion McGill drop out of the top 10.

Alberta takes over top spot from the University of New Brunswick, with UQTR, Saskatchewan and Moncton rounding out the top five.
