Wolves sign highly touted Winnipeg guard

Coach Scott Morrison on Monday announced the team has inked its second recruit in the form of Sylvester (J.R.) Alexander, a 6-foot-2 combo guard who starred at Winnipeg’s Garnt Park High School.

“We are very excited to welcome J.R. to our program and basketball family,”?Morrison said in a release. “Not only is he an excellent athlete with unlimited potential at the next level, he is a good kid who has fit in well with our returning players during the recruiting process.

Alexander was a multi-sport star in high school, starting at both quarterback and point guard for the Pirates, and was named one of the top 10 schoolboy basketball players in?Manitoba by the Winnipeg Sun.
