WINDSOR, Ont. -- The Windsor Lancers had won 11 of their last 12 meetings against the Lakehead Thunderwolves and continued that trend on Saturday night.

The Wolves were outscored 24-6 in the opening quarter and never recoverd, trounced 81-42 on the road by the No. 7 Windsor Lancers.

Sofia Lluch continued her hot hand for Lakehead, popping 19 in a losing cause, while newly annointed starter Megan Looney hit double-digits for the second straight night with 13.

Harriet Carey led the Lancers with 16 off the bench, one of five Windsor players with at least 10 points.

The Wolves (7-13) return home to wrap up the regular season on Friday and Saturday night against Ontario Tech and Queen's.

Lakehead holds the 12th and final playoff berth with a two-point edge over Algoma, who take on Ryerson on Sundaty.

Lakehead owns the tiebreaker, having beaten the Thunderbirds earlier in the season.
