Lakehead University’s return to baseball was a winning one.
The Wolves scored a 9-5 win on Sunday against Winona State University, the rubber match of a three-game series that began with a Saturday doubleheader.
Aaron Lagadin earned the win for the Wolves, who are competing in the District Five West Conference against four American schools.
Craig Steele was 2-for-4 at the dish, driving in a pair for LU, who won their first game 5-0 on Saturday, before dropping the nightcap 6-5.
The Wolves will travel to the University of Wisconsin next weekend to play in a tournament, then host the University of Minnesota the following weekend at Baseball Central.
