Mitch Filman scored a pair of goals and the Wolves scored six stragith goals in the second and third period to erase an early and surprising 3-1 deficit to the host Ontario Tech Ridgebacks on Friday night, earning an 8-5 win for their ninth straight OUA triumph.

Adam Sergerie, Brennan Menard, Mike Hammond, Riley McIntosh and Andrew Wilkins also scored for Lakehead (16-3-0), who pulled even with idle Western, which lost 2-1 to Brock on Wednesday.

Caria added two assists and Filman a helper of his own in the win. Luke VanMoerkerke, with two, Tony Rizzi, Jeremy Whelan and Josh Vatri scored the Ridgeback goals. The Wolves and UOIT wrap up their weekend set in Oshawa on Saturday.
