Wolves women lose on road to Guelph

Lacey McNulty scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to lead the Lakehead Thunderwolves to their first win of 2011.

Alexandra Yallin scored 23 points and the Guelph Gryphons pulled away in the second quarter, downing the visiting Lakehead Thunderwolves 66-59 in OUA women’s basketball play Friday night.

Lindsay Dreury, with 14 and Tasia McKenna, with 10, were the only other Wolves in double figures. Lakehead dropped its second straight, and fell to 6-3 on the season.
