Mrs. Ada Adelaide Dlholucky (nee Sylvester) age 90 years, resident of Thunder Bay, died in St. Joseph’s Hospital, on Thursday, March 18, 2010 . Ada was born in FortWilliam on June 6, 1919.  Ada  is survived by her daughter Joanne Walters, grandson Trevor (Katie), great granddaughter Kirsi, sisters Mary Sylvester, Esther Holowitz (Fred), brothers Bruno Sylvester (Lena), Leonard Sylvester (Gina), sisters-in-law Elsa Sylvester, (Sudbury), Evelyn Sylvester (Ottawa) and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, her parents Giovanna and Beniamino Silvestri, her brothers John and Joseph and her sister Mella and brother-in-law Tony Zanni and sisters-in- law Annie, Angie and Mary, brother-in-law Frank. Funeral services were held on Monday, March 22, 2010 at the Blake Funeral Chapel with Father James Panikulam officiating.  Interment was at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.  The family wishes to acknowledge and thank Dr. Anthes and staff of the Cancer Clinic.  The family would appreciate donations to the Thunder Bay Northern Cancer Research Fund.

 

A tree will be planted in memory of Ada Dlholucky in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 12, 2011.
