Adeline Joyce Raslack nee DeMeo, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2022 at the age of 100. She was a resident of Hogarth Manor. Addie was born September 19, 1921 in Fort William and except for a four-year period in St. Catharines, Thunder Bay was her home. She was focused on her family and always sought to do what she felt best for their welfare. Her cooking was legendary and she happily accepted the title of "Grandma Meatball" as bestowed by one of her grandchildren. She was very independent and maintained her own residence until she was 99. We should all be so fortunate.
Addie is survived by her children Allan (Seija), Ray (Laurie) and Rod (Rhonda), her grandchildren Jessica, Elana, Michelle, Erin, Reid, Randi and Jamie and her great grandchildren, Tyler, Jake, Christina, Cameron, Nolan, Mitchell, Malena, Jaxson, Adaline and Axel. She was predeceased by her husband Eric, parents Alec and Santa, brothers Alec and Val, sisters Mary and Louise and daughter-in- law Marguerite.
The family would like to thank the staff of Spruce Grove at Hogarth Manor for their care, compassion and companionship during these stressful times. We would also like to extend a thank you to her long-time friend Brenda Earnshaw who was with her to the end.
Cremation has taken place. Should friends so desire, a donation to a favourite charity would be appreciated.
