It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Albert Trewin on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 after a long battle with cancer.

Albert was born on April 23, 1927 to Mabel and Norman Trewin and attended school in Slate River. Ab worked at Great Lakes Pulp and Paper Company, beginning at age 15 until his retirement. He married Norah Agombar in 1949 and together they raised four children. Their family spent many happy years camping at Burchell Lake. Ab and Norah enjoyed travelling to British Colombia in a variety of RV's. His true love was fishing and hunting at camp.

Albert will be greatly missed by his children Lynda Barrie, Alan (Debbie), Gary (Cathie) and Ken (Sharen); grandchildren Jana (Ari) Matikainen, Scott, Sheri, Kristen, Shannon and Travis Trewin and 8 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years Norah; his parents; son-in-law Brian Barrie and brother Wilfred.

Visitation for the late Mr. Albert Trewin will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday, January 23, 2015 in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James. We will recall fond memories and celebrate his life at 7:00pm in the Chapel.
