Alda Hall

Our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully, at the
age of 88, on Friday September 8, 2017, with her family at her side.

Alda was born in Port Arthur on July 4, 1929. She attended St. Joseph's
Elementary School and Port Arthur Technical School and later worked at a
variety of jobs including the Royal Bank, Eatons, and Sears.

She married William Hall ( Bill ) from Keewatin ONT on May 10, 1952.
They enjoyed travelling, dancing, fishing, camping, and hockey together. Alda
also had an artistic side which included painting, pottery,
knitting, crocheting and quilting.

She put in many hours volunteering in Thunder Bay for various organizations
including St. Joseph's Hospital Auxillary, Catholic Women's League at St.
Anthony's and Corpus Christi Churches,
Oliver Road Recreation Centre and Legion Branch 5.

Alda is survived by her daughter Maureen ( Ernest ) Adams, son Billy ( Emma )
Hall, granddaughters Amy (Mike ) Montgomery, Heather ( Mark) Walker and Kayla
Hall-Dent, Step-granddaughter Cheri ( Troy ) Prior.
Great grandchildren Maegan and Maeya Montgomery and Chase Walker, and
sister-in-laws Maureen and Juanita Martin.

Alda was predeceased by her husband E.William Hall ( Bill ), parents Carlo and
Rosa Martin, brothers Elio, Milo, and Reno Martin, and grandson Aubrey Adams.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the wonderful,
caring and dedicated staff at the TBHSC, St. Joseph's Hospital and support
services at P.R.Cook Apartments for looking after Alda.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 when family and friends will gather for the Funeral Mass beginning at 2:00 pm in Corpus Christi R.C. Church, celebrated by Rev. Victor Degagne. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Interment to follow in St. Andrew’s Cemetery
In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be
