It is with heavy hearts that the family of Alice Mary Veneruz, age 84 announce her unexpected passing on Saturday, November 25th, 2017. Alice was born January 20th, 1933 in Fort William, ON to Ines and Ricardo Bottos. During her high school years she excelled in academics and was an accomplished athlete. Upon graduation, she started her working career in banking ultimately becoming Head Teller. She married the love of her life Francis on November 24th, 1956. They were inseparable for more than 54 years raising a family and enjoying a wonderful life. Mom had many talents, she was a gifted seamstress and artist as well as a fabulous cook. She enjoyed travelling through the years and more recently loved spending time at the family camp at Birch Beach where Sundays were a special time to gather for pasta and meatballs. Mom was a strong, selfless, generous wife, mother, and Nona who was a positive role model for everyone.
She was a very loving Mom and Nona who was extremely proud of each of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who were her greatest gifts. We are blessed with many memories that we will cherish. She is survived by her children, Francis (Luisa); Alan (Dawn); Jeanette (Ron); Anita Treesh (Abdu); Ken (Deb) and Linda Evans (Dan). Grandchildren; Craig (Jackie), Kaitlyn, Christopher, Michael (Tenari), Karlie (Adam); Jessica (Kyle); Natalie (Mike); Romy; Dominique; Thomas; David; and Lucas. Great grandchildren: Troy, Nolan, Ayla, Anderson, Jack, Walker and Emilia. She is also survived by her brother John (Carmen) Bottos of Orleans, Ontario, sister-in-law Lelia Lovis and life-long friends Mary Margarit and Ilona DeRe, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Francis, parents Ines and Ricardo Bottos, in-laws Maria and Vittorio Veneruz, brother-in-law Romeo Lovis, and nephew Gerard Lovis.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 30th, 2017 when family and friends will gather for funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Cathedral celebrated by Rev. Msgr. P. M. Stilla V.G. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, privately for the family. Visitation will commence one hour prior to the service.
