Mrs. Alli Jarvimaki age 91 years passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 7, 2015 in Roseview Manor.
Alli was born in Isokyro, Finland on November 25, 1923. In 1960, Alli immigrated to Canada with her husband and three children. In later years, Alli and Valde were blessed with their fourth child. Alli was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was very family oriented and loved to do her hand crafts. Her belief in the Lord was important in her life.
Survived by daughter Marja-Leena (Yrjo), son Jarmo (Charlene), daughter Anita (Andreas), grandchildren Allan (Cara), Tina (Michael), Kathryn (Mark), Dennis (Marcy), Tara (Michael), Brandon (Kelsey), Katie (Shane), Kirsten (Jonathan), Briana (Collin) and thirteen great grandchildren, son-in-law John (Nancy) brother Uolevi (Meeri), sister Aila (Kaukko) of Finland. Numerous other relatives also survive.
Alli was predeceased by her loving husband Valde, daughter Pirjo, parents Matti and Hilja, and four brothers.
Funeral services for the late Mrs. Alli Jarvimaki will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL 299 Waverley Street at Algoma with Pastor Mika Kostamo officiating. Visitation for friends will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Everest Chapel.
