It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Alma Elizabeth McDonald, aged 43 years, from Thunder Bay, Ontario, who left us on Monday, September 25, 2017. Born in Toronto on September 23, 1974 to Alma and William McDonald.

Elizabeth, with her family later moved to Thunder Bay where she grew up and developed a passion for cooking, baking and pursuing her love for hair at hairdressing school.

She went on to marry Joseph (Lionel) LeBoeuf – the love of her life. Elizabeth, in her younger days, although diagnosed with MS, was always a real social butterfly, known for her red lips. She was the oldest of four children and a super out-going individual that loved to have fun. She loved to run, ride her bike and listen to music and dance. She was a proud member of Pays Plat First Nation and a proud pet owner to her cat Fifi, who she adored.

Liz is survived by her mother, Alma Henry; sisters, Tina McDonald (Garnet), Toni-Lynn (Kevin); brothers, Peter Henry, William (Chantal); nieces and nephews, Breonna, Erika, Celia, Ryker, Willa, Liam; dear friend, Marcella Johnson; cat Fifi; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She is predeceased by her father, William McDonald; husband, Joseph LeBoeuf; grandparents, Alma Bourdeau, Joseph Dabasi, Joseph McDonald and Delma Robinson and Mary Korom; uncles, Dave, Hobey, Joe, Stan and cousin Kurtis.

Funeral services for Elizabeth McDonald will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Jenkens Funeral Home, 226 S. Syndicate Avenue, with visitation to commence one hour prior at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow. If friends so desire, memorial donations to the Humane Society would be appreciated.
