Amadeo Arden (Pecho) Carniato

The kind, gentle soul that family and friends knew as Pecho, Dad and Uncle Pecho passed away peacefully on August 4 with family at his bedside.
He was born on March 3, 1924 in Port Arthur and grew up in a rambunctious family of three boys and four girls. He was a loving and patient man with a great sense of humor.

He and Emma celebrated their 76th wedding anniversary in June of this year.

He is survived by Emma and daughter Sharon having been predeceased by his oldest daughter Bonnie and son Rodney. He was the last surviving sibling of his family predeceased by brothers Osmildo (Jim), Italo (Joe), Plenio (Planky) and sisters Eufrasia (Frances), Izelda (Zelda) Giovannina (Joanne), Zemina (Zen) and parents Pietro and Maria.

His character and work ethic were acknowledged at Canada Car, Dow’s Electroplating and Shore Bay Estates. His accomplishments after 60 years of golf were not one but two “holes in one” with both trophies achieving prominent positions in the curio cabinet.

Funeral mass will be held at St. Dominic Church, 130 Redwood Avenue on Wednesday, August 10 at 10:30 am. Interment to follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers his family kindly request donations be made to the Charity of your choice.
