Anna Maria Caccamo passed away peacefully on October 7, 2015 at the age of 69 at Pioneer Ridge Home. Anna was born in Civitella Casanova, Pescaria, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1960 at the age of 14.

She had met her beloved husband Agostino Mario through the radio program “Musical Panorama” when she was the winning caller naming a song title.

She devoted her life to raising her family and once her children were grown devoted her energies to support her husband in helping flourish the America Travel Agency.

She was a member of the Italian Society of Port Arthur and the DaVinci Centre. Anna was an excellent cook and many will never forget her famous pizza. She was most happy enjoying time with family and friends using simple humour to make people around her laugh.

Anna will be dearly missed by her sons, Mark and Dino (Josephine); grandchildren, Avery, Matthew and Luciano; step-mother Francesca DiSimone; sister-in-law Sina Caccamo; sister Sandra (Gaetano) Carpino; brother Antonio (Mary) DiSimone, and numerous nieces and nephews in Thunder Bay and Italy.

Anna is predeceased by her husband Agostino Mario Caccamo, father Gabriele DiSimone, mother Giovina DiSimone, and brother-in-law Enzo Caccamo. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, when family and friends will gather for Funeral Mass at 10:00 am, at St. Dominic’s Church celebrated by Rev. Maurizio Maifredi c.s.

A private family interment service will follow in St. Andrew’s Cemetery. Visitation for friends and family will be held on Tuesday October 13 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm in the Blake Funeral Chapel with prayers at 7:00 pm. If friends desire, memorials to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada would be appreciated.

Anna Caccamo will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 12, 2016.
