Anna Nemec

Mrs. Anna Nemec, age 76 years, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2023, in St. Joseph's Hospice, with family by her side.

Anna was born July 4, 1946 in Slovenia. She moved to Canada at a young age with the love of her life Milan and they married in Montreal, they settled in Thunder Bay. Anna enjoyed her career of over 25 years as a custodian at the Catholic School Board where she made many friends. Anna enjoyed gardening, fishing and the outdoors and took pride in always having beautiful flowers around her home. She loved being with family and friends, especially her grandchildren Nicholas, Matthew and Katherine.

Anna will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years Milan, her son Robert (Eva) and grandchildren Nicholas, Matthew and Katherine as well as many other family and friends through-out Canada and Europe.

She was predeceased by her daughter Virginia, parents and brother and sister.

The family would like to thank all of those that helped Anna with her fight with Parkinson's disease throughout the years, she found strength through those around her and prayers to God.

Funeral Services for Anna will be held in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre on Friday, February 3, 2023 presided by Fr. Ciaran Donnelly at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in St. Andrew’s Cemetery. Visitation for family and friend will begin one hour prior to the service.
