It is with heavy hearts that the family of Annabelle Jeannie Randle (nee Wilson) announces her sudden passing on February 29, 2016 at the TBRHSC.

Annabelle was born September 1, 1946 in Toronto to Rita Marie Carmel Longtin Wilson and William Gordon Wilson.

She moved to Thunder Bay in 1956 where she attended Lakeview High school and later Confederation College for the nursing program which she quickly realized it wasn't for her.  Annabelle worked at Memory Lodge as a teenager and that is where she met the love of her life Dwayne Gordon Randle.

On June 25th this year, they would have celebrated their 50th anniversary.  Annabelle and Dwayne had 3 children, Gordon Michael Robert who resides in Toronto, Victoria Elizabeth who unfortunately passed away on July 5, 1994, and Jeannie Annabelle.

They were given one birth granddaughter Jessica Elizabeth Carmel who was born to Jeannie in 1989.  In 2003 Jeannie married her husband Rob and became a blended family giving Annabelle and Dwayne additional grandchildren Steve and Katrina Rempel.  Annabelle was always volunteering at her kid’s schools for anything and everything she could.  She was a hands on person and wanted to be part of all aspects of their lives.

Annabelle spent many years as a home-ec teacher as well as a quilting instructor.  Her passion was always food so in her 40's she went back to school and became a chef.  One of the highlights of her life was being able to cook at the Savoy in London England for the Queen.

It was a great honour for her to put on her chefs whites and serve such a prestigious person.  She was very proud of all her medals and awards received for her cooking.

Annabelle devoted her life to her family and caring for her husband was the main priority in her life.

Dwayne was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1969 and required a level of care that not many people would commit to. Annabelle fought many battles to keep Dwayne alive and well, and stayed strong throughout.

She always put Dwayne’s need before her own because when she took those vows 50 years ago, they really were till death do them part.

She is truly the most selfless loving giving person that ever lived.

She is a true angel! Annabelle is predeceased by her daughter, Victoria (Vicki), her father, William, her sister, Diane Wilson McKeown, her sisters-in-law, Barbara Randle Golphy, Anne Randle, and brothers-in-law, George, Terry and Wesley Randle and nephew, Edward Gambee.

Annabelle is survived by her loving husband, Dwayne, son, Gordon, daughter, Jeannie (Robert) Rempel, granddaughters Jessica (Jeremy) Riabov, Katrina Rempel and grandson Steve (Carrie) Rempel.

She also leaves behind her mother, Rita, sisters, Marie Calway and Joyce Herd, brother, James Wilson, as well as in-laws, Harold (Nancy) Randle, Pat (John) Wilson, and Grace Mills, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Annabelle was beyond excited knowing she was going to be a great grandmother to two babies in August of this year to granddaughter Jessica and granddaughter-in-law Carrie.  Although it will be an exciting time Annabelle will be sadly missed.

Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held at Blake Funeral Chapel, 200 May Street South on Monday, March 7th, 2016 at 11:00am with Father Gordon Holroyd officiating with a luncheon to follow at the Slovak Legion Solarium, just across the East End bridge and to the left.

Annabelle Randle will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 11, 2017.
