Mrs. Anne Harper, age 79 years, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2018, in Thunder Bay Regional Health Center, surrounded by family and friends.

Born in India on May 14, 1938, Anne spent her early years on a tea plantation before moving to Glasgow, Scotland. Married to Doug Harper in 1958 shortly after their immigration to Montreal Canada, Anne worked as a bookkeeper until taking on the full-time job of raising a family. This included a relocation to Collingwood, Ontario before finally settling in Thunder Bay in 1980. Returning to the paid working world as a tax preparer later in life, Anne was passionate about gardening, bridge, the theatre, travel and friends. Tireless and giving, Anne was a true friend to many, and will be especially missed by the entire Tbay gang and especially Friday mornings with the women’s breakfast group.

Anne will be lovingly remembered by sons Alan and Scott, as well as daughter in law Christy and grand-sons Justin and Tyler.

Anne is now reunited with her loving husband, Douglas John, in everlasting peace, and with daughter Alicon.

Funeral Services for Anne will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Anne to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation – Northern Cardiac Fund or the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra.
