Anne (Margaret) Maki née Kempinski, passed away peacefully at the TBRHSC on May 21, 2018 at the age of 92.

Anne was born on July 20, 1925 in Manitoba and moved to Fort William as a teenager. She lived in Fort William and Port Arthur until moving to Salmon Arm BC in 1996 where she lived for 10 years. She then moved back to Thunder Bay where she lived until her passing.

Anne was a valued employee of the Unemployment Insurance Office in Fort William for many years.

Anne was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, always putting her family first.

Anne was predeceased by her husband Milton, sister Lena and brother-in-law Tony and sister Lottie and brother-in-law Steve.

She is survived by her daughter Lori (Gil) Risling, grandchildren Shannon, Melissa and Matt and great-grandchildren Riston, Avie, Radek, Kayden and Emerson, daughter April and son Len (Lori) and granddaughter Emma. 

Anne is also survived by her sister Pat (Joe) Filipovic as well as nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 28, 2018 at 11:00 am, in the Chapel of the Sargent & Son Funeral Home, 21 N. Court Street, with Rev. Ed Long presiding. A private interment will be held at a later date. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
