Anne-Marie Bédard

Mrs. Anne-Marie Bédard, age 71 years, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2020, in St. Joseph’s Hospital after a short, courageous battle with cancer.

Anne-Marie was born August 1, 1948 in St. John, New Brunswick. During her childhood, Anne-Marie and her family lived in several different cities; her father worked as a carpenter so he had to move around to find work.

After high school, Anne-Marie held various employment positions before finally settling in at Walmart for 15 years until her retirement in 2016. She always claimed her favorite job was working as an assistant to an architect in Kapuskasing, where she subsequently married and raised her two children.

Anne-Marie enjoyed reading, crafts, word games and spending time with close friends. Most of all, she loved being surrounded by her family. She was known as “Mémé” to her grandchildren; spending time with them filled her heart with so much happiness and pride.

Anne-Marie was a woman who fully enjoyed life no matter which challenges came her way. She often referred to her desire to live in the moment as “joie de vivre!”. Her incredible smile and laughter brightened up any room and brought joy to those around her. She was always ready to lend a hand and lovingly support her children once they were raising their own families.

Anne-Marie will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her daughter Adèle Treichler (Mike) and son Adrian Bédard (Danielle), brothers Robert Haché (Louise) and Yvon Haché (Debbie) as well as her five beautiful grandchildren Gillian, Tristan, Kayla, Logan and Rachel. Anne-Marie was predeceased by her parents Rita and Cesaire Haché, as well as her sisters June-Louise Lucchetta and Paulette Dubeau.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If so desired, donations may be made in Anne-Marie's memory to your charity of choice.
